You're My Favorite Poem
I see the poem that’s beautifully you—
written in the way your laughter lingers in the air,
soft syllables like your hair
like a language only I understand.
I learned and read your words like stars in the night leaving me morse code messages
memorizing your pages, even understanding the complexity of the words your heart writes and you try so desperately to keep it in the dark but you are so bright to me.
I can speak in the rhythm of your breath,
laugh the way you do—
not as an echo of you, but as something intertwined,
something wholly ours in our moments.
Your eyes, vast like the sky and deep like the ocean,
something truly unique unlike anything I’ve ever seen—
pull me in like tides to the shore,
a home I never knew I was searching for
until I found it in your gaze.
And oh, the spark—
like ink meeting paper, like stars colliding,
like every unwritten poem waiting to exist.
You are my safe place, my favorite quote,
my reason to keep writing.
To belong to a reader is to hold infinity in your hands,
and you, my friend, have given me endless pages
as a writer—
And I truly say this, because I see the poem that’s beautifully you
