A Home in You
A year ago, you said to me,
"You're crazy about me, and I love it,"
Those words, they linger still,
Like whispers in the quiet of my mind.
But what stays with me the most,
What my thoughts always return to,
Are the eyes you wore like the ocean—
Endless, deep, and pulling me through.
I remember the first time I saw them,
How they caught me off guard,
A reflection of something wild,
A current strong, yet soft and warm.
You were a tide I couldn’t resist,
A flood of mystery I’d never known,
And in those depths, I found myself,
Drowning in the beauty I had been shown.
Now every thought of you takes me there,
To that ocean, in your eyes,
And I wonder if you know
That the first thing I noticed about you was the sea.
That’s home to me.
