The Tide & Sun
Like the waves roll in,
Ever-presently
Without waiver…
Unbothered by
The height of the
Tide
Or
The strength of the
Sun…
…just as my breath rolls in my chest,
Mirroring the tide we are one.
Low is slow and deep.
High is strong rushes
That maintain their depth
No matter their power;
…sure to set as it is to rise.
One day I’ll surrender my fears
And bow down just as the waves
Do to the skies.
