So-Called Negative
Negativity,
They say that I am negative, but
they did not think to question what
made me this way,
Depression is no burden, I never asked for it.
You would think depression would not
be a reason to leave someone, yet few stay
I loved you kindly, but for you I was
just a chore
Is it negative, or is it just pain
One who has walked through hell, but
still manages to smile amid the rain.
Is it too much to ask to be
loved with sway,
a soft smile, a warm embrace
Is it negativity or is it the lack of love
that drives me to be so-called negative
as claimed above
The world is a cold, lonely place
Those only out for themselves
but many of us craving that same
warm embrace
So, I ask is it that I am
negative, or am I just hurt
that I have loved so many,
yet have always been left in the
dirt.
