The Sun’s Loneliness
February 2, 2025

The sun is so lonely,
it must envy the moon,
the way it has the stars
for companionship and the
tides of the ocean for
comfort. The sun, it only
has the sky. The sun is
not content, it chases the
moon, though never fast
enough, and so it burns.
